Terms of Service & Acceptable Use Policy

1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account, registering for, or using Platinumail ("the Platform"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and our Acceptable Use Policy. If you do not accept these terms in full, do not use our services.

2. Identity, Account Security & Recovery

2.1 Master Account Sovereign Responsibility: You are solely responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your sign-in credentials, two-factor authentication devices, and recovery keys. Platinumail stores no plain-text passwords.

2.2 Mandatory Recovery Contact: Customers must configure and verify an external recovery email address to enable sovereign password resets and security emergency advisories.

2.3 Anti-Enumeration: The platform enforces anti-enumeration safeguards; the existence of any account or mailbox is never disclosed to untrusted third parties.

3. Acceptable Use Policy (AUP) & Abuse Prohibition

3.1 Strict Anti-Spam Policy: The transmission of unsolicited bulk email (UBE), spam, automated marketing blasts without explicit consent, or purchased list distribution is strictly forbidden.

3.2 Phishing & Fraud: Any attempt to impersonate third parties, spoof sender headers, harvest credentials, or conduct fraudulent communications will result in immediate and permanent account termination.

3.3 Malicious Payloads: Dissemination of malware, viruses, trojans, ransomware, or exploits via webmail attachments or SMTP submission is prohibited.

4. Mailbox Isolation & Storage Quotas

4.1 Independent Credentials: Each customer mailbox operates with separate credentials from the master account.

4.2 Quota Limits: Mailboxes are bound by allocated storage quotas. Inbound mail may be bounced if storage capacity is exceeded without timely quota expansion.

5. Payments, Subscriptions & Crypto Settlement

5.1 Irreversible Blockchain Settlement: Cryptocurrency and stablecoin payments confirmed on decentralized ledgers are final and non-refundable.

5.2 Grace Periods: If a subscription expires, mailboxes enter an inactive read-only state. Data is retained for an allotted grace window before decommissioning.

6. Audited Operator Access & Zero-Tracking

6.1 Immutable Audit Trail: As documented in ADR-0012, operator and administrator access to infrastructure or mailbox metadata is subject to append-only, tamper-evident audit logs requiring written justification.

6.2 No Surveillance: Platinumail deploys zero third-party tracking pixels or marketing analytics.

7. Amendments & Real-Time Notification

Platinumail reserves the right to amend these Terms. In the event of material updates, users will be alerted through in-app notifications and mailbox advisories, requiring affirmative acknowledgement upon subsequent access.
